Why is an authorised representative important for you?
From August 12th 2026, the new EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR) will stipulate clear rules if you want to place packaged products on the market in compliance with the law.
Obligation to appoint: Affected companies must appoint a local representative for each country.
Retailers are also affected: e.g. Amazon PAN-EU, which delivers to several EU countries, resulting in local obligations.

Do I need an authorised representative?
The PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) requires manufacturers who do not have their own branch in an EU country where they supply packaging directly to end users to appoint an authorised representative for that country from mid-2026 onwards to take over the fulfilment of packaging obligations on their behalf.

You must appoint an authorised representative for each EU country in which you do not have a branch and deliver packaging directly to end users.
What are the duties of an authorised representative?
The authorised representative is responsible for fulfilling packaging law obligations in the respective country. The specific tasks may vary depending on the EU country.
How much does our authorised representative service cost?
One-off onboarding fee: 89,00 €
Annual service fee per country: 189,00 €
How is authorisation granted?
You conclude a contract with the authorised representative and grant them written power of attorney.
Can I revoke the authorisation?
You may terminate the authorisation with the authorised representative in accordance with the term of your contract.
